PGWP Overview
Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) is open work permit available to graduates of designated Canadian learning institutions (DLIs). Critical pathway to Canadian PR via Express Entry CEC.
Eligibility
- Graduated from PGWP-eligible designated learning institution (DLI)
- Program length 8+ months full-time
- Apply within 180 days of graduation
- Hold valid temporary status at time of application

Duration
- 1-year program → 1-year PGWP
- 2-year+ program → 3-year PGWP (max)
