FAQ
Do you have a Richmond Hill office?
We do not have a physical Richmond Hill office. Most clients prefer Zoom consultations (saving 1-2 hours of GTA traffic), with documents shared by encrypted email or secure client portal. For in-person meetings, our downtown Toronto office at 100 King Street West, Suite 5700 is a 40-minute drive or 50-minute TTC trip from Richmond Hill (Yonge subway extension under construction will reduce this significantly when complete).
Can the consultation be conducted entirely in Chinese?
Yes. Natalie is a native Mandarin speaker. Consultations are conducted in whichever language you prefer — typically a mix of English for Canadian legal terminology and Mandarin for case facts and family discussion. Documents in Chinese (court orders, household registration, marriage certificates, business records) read directly without translation.
I am from Hong Kong, do you handle BN(O) / HK Pathway matters?
Yes. We handle Hong Kong-resident immigration matters including the Hong Kong Pathway (HKPR work permit and PR streams), family sponsorship of Hong Kong residents, study permit applications, and Federal Court review of refusals. Documents in traditional Chinese are read directly.
My parent’s PGP sponsorship application was refused — what now?
Depends on the ground of refusal. If income or LICO failure, often appealable to IAD with H&C grounds. If misrepresentation or medical, Federal Court is the only remedy. If procedural fairness concerns, Federal Court within 60 days. We assess the refusal letter against IRCC’s actual reasons and recommend the strongest remedy. Initial consultation $450 includes this assessment.
How fast can you prepare a Federal Court application?
