I had the privilege of attending the 2025 Christian Legal Fellowship (CLF) National Conference in Mississauga, themed “Godly Counsel” — drawn from Psalm 32:8:
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
A Meaningful Gathering
The theme is apt. So much of our daily work as lawyers is about counsel — listening, discerning, and guiding clients through decisions that will shape their lives. Doing that work in a community of believers who share a heart for both faith and service is a quiet source of strength.
Walking Together in Calling and Conviction
Spending a weekend with fellow legal professionals — discussing what it means to practise law with integrity, how to hold professional excellence and spiritual formation together, and how to serve vulnerable clients with both skill and compassion — was exactly the kind of reset I did not know I needed.
Grateful for this community of believers who walk together in both calling and conviction. Grateful for CLF’s steady, thoughtful leadership in equipping Christian lawyers across Canada. And grateful, as always, for the privilege of this work.
