Honoured to Receive the 2026 Inspirational Entrepreneur Award

I am thrilled and deeply grateful to have received the Inspirational Entrepreneur Award at the 2026 Newcomer Entrepreneur Awards, hosted by Kingston Economic Development Corporation and the Kingston Immigration Partnership.

Why This Award Matters

Starting BridgePoint Law as a newcomer to Canada was one of the boldest decisions I have ever made. Leaving the shelter of a salaried associate position to build my own firm — as an immigrant, a single mother, and a Chinese-Canadian — was not obvious, not easy, and not always celebrated.

This award means so much — not just to me, but to every immigrant entrepreneur who dares to dream big in a new country. It is a quiet, powerful reminder that our stories belong here, and that the communities we serve are watching, cheering, and rooting for us.

Congratulations to My Fellow Recipients

Congratulations to V. Ophelia Rigault, M.Ed. (Community Builder Award) and Dr. Siziwe Bebe (Start-up Award) — well-deserved recognition for both of you. Your work inspires so many of us.

Thank you to Kingston Economic Development Corporation, the Kingston Immigration Partnership, and Serco for celebrating newcomer entrepreneurship in our city. And thank you to my team, my family, and my clients who make this work meaningful every single day.
