The Power of Local Generosity
What an inspiring morning it was! The recent announcement from the United Way KFL&A (Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington) brought exhilarating news: the annual fundraising campaign has surpassed its goal, raising an astounding $4,150,663 this year! This incredible achievement is a testament to the commitment and generosity of everyone in our local community—businesses, individuals, and volunteers alike.
Driving Real Change Across the Region
This isn’t just a number; it represents a profound investment in the well-being of our neighbours. This collective effort will drive real Change across Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington, tackling some of the most critical challenges facing our region.
As a Board Member of the Kingston Community Health Centres (KCHC), I see firsthand the tangible impact that these funds have on the ground. The United Way’s support is critical to sustaining vital programs in our community:
Mental Health Services: Providing essential counselling and support to those in crisis.
Housing Assistance: Helping vulnerable individuals and families secure safe, stable housing.
Primary Care: Ensuring access to healthcare for those who face barriers.
The KCHC is just one of many agencies that rely on this funding to deliver front-line services that create a stronger, healthier foundation for everyone.
Thank You: The Immense Power of Collaboration
This milestone was reached through the immense power of local collaboration. Every dollar, every hour volunteered, and every partnership contributed to this success.
To every donor, volunteer, and partner: thank you. Your dedication shows that when we work together, we can overcome complex social issues and truly transform lives. We are not just building programs; we are building a healthier, stronger community, one service and one person at a time.
Let’s carry this momentum forward and continue to invest in the well-being of KFL&A!
